Our hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday's 7:00 am to 12:00 noon. Doctors' hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm during the week, no doctor is available on the weekend. The clinic is closed on Sunday except for boarding animal pick up from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Spaying or neutering can be done at approximately 6 months of age. Your pet is given an exam prior to surgery to help determine whether your pet is healthy enough to undergo the surgical procedure. Current vaccinations are required at the time of surgery. Also a pre-anesthetic blood screen is recommended prior to undergoing anesthesia and surgery.

This is a blood test that is run here in the clinic prior to surgery. It tests the organ functions, blood counts and clotting function of your pet. The pre-anesthetic blood screening is done to assure safety during surgery and the ability to heal following surgery.

Procedures involving sutures require them to be removed in 14 days following the surgery.

No, there is no advantage to letting your pet have one litter. However there are plenty of advantages to having your pet spayed or neutered. These advantages include decreasing the chances of breast tumors later in life, decreasing the chance of cystic ovaries and uterine infections later in life, decreasing the desire to roam the neighborhood, decreasing the incidence of prostate cancer later in life, helping prevent spraying and marking, and also decreases the surplus of unwanted puppies and kittens.

Yes, we do boarding for our clients. We have boarding space for both dogs and cats. We also can board birds and other small animals, but you will be required to bring your own cage and food for your pet.

Our dog kennels are all indoor. The dogs are walked 3 times daily while they are boarding. The cat boarders are housed in a separate area away from the dogs. Blankets and food are provided for our boarders, but you are always welcome to bring your own.

Bring any prior medical records you have, along with a list of current medications and, for puppies or kittens, a stool sample if possible for parasite screening.

Yes. We carry a full range of medications, vitamins, flea and tick control products, heartworm preventatives and prescription diets from Hill's, Royal Canin and Purina Veterinary Diets.

Most healthy adult pets benefit from a wellness exam once a year, while puppies, kittens, senior pets and pets managing a chronic condition typically need more frequent visits.

Yes. We are happy to provide a written estimate for procedures like surgery, dental cleanings or boarding before you commit, so there are no surprises.

Core vaccines are recommended for nearly all pets, while additional vaccines depend on lifestyle factors like outdoor access, boarding or exposure to other animals. Our veterinarians will recommend a schedule suited to your pet.

Symptoms like difficulty breathing, repeated vomiting, a distended abdomen, seizures or severe bleeding all warrant immediate attention. When in doubt, call and describe what is happening rather than waiting to see if it improves.

Pets can be dropped off or picked up during regular business hours, Monday through Saturday, with an additional Sunday pickup window from 5:00 to 6:00 pm.
