Emergencies do not wait for business hours, and neither should you when your pet needs urgent care. Whether it is a sudden injury, a toxic ingestion, or symptoms that come on fast and do not let up, having a plan in place ahead of time can save valuable minutes when it matters most. Our after-hours system will direct you to one of two trusted emergency partners in Oklahoma City, so your pet can be seen right away.
How Our After-Hours System Works
When you call (405) 722-7717 outside of business hours, an automated message will let you know our office is currently closed and give you the option to connect directly with one of the following emergency providers:

Both practices are fully equipped to handle emergency care when our office is closed, staffed with veterinary teams experienced in urgent and critical cases. We recommend calling ahead as you head over so their team can prepare for your pet's arrival and give you guidance for the trip over if needed.
Signs That Warrant Emergency Care
If your pet shows any of the following, it is best to seek emergency care right away rather than waiting until our next available appointment:
- Difficulty breathing or persistent coughing
- Repeated vomiting or inability to keep water down
- A bloated or distended abdomen
- Seizures or collapse
- Suspected ingestion of a toxic substance
- Severe bleeding or a visible injury from trauma
- Straining to urinate with little or no output
- Sudden, extreme lethargy or unresponsiveness
If you are ever unsure whether a symptom is serious enough for emergency care, it is always better to call and ask than to wait and see. A quick phone call to either emergency partner can help you decide whether your pet needs to be seen immediately or can safely wait for a regular appointment.
